How To Upload To Gallery Via FTP
These instructions are for uploading pictures to Foothill Cross Country's and Foothill Track's websites using a Windows XP or Windows Vista computer over the internet via FTP. If you get this to work, I'll think highly of you, and the environment will thank you for saving a disc. However, burning your pictures to a disk and giving the disk to Alex Taylor (me, the webmaster) will work too, and it's perhaps a simpler process. Both ways are equally easy on me.
If you already have an FTP client and you're familiar with FTP, use the below logon information, create a folder for the pictures and upload the pictures to the new folder. Then skip to step 7.

1. If you're doing this for the first time, download and install the Filezilla FTP client (free).
2. Click Start, All Programs, FileZilla FTP Client, FileZilla
3.

4.

5. Give your folder a name. You will put your pictures in this folder. Include your full name and the name of the event. E.g. CoachBell-MtSac, or LindaCampana-Practice0929. Note that "/"s cannot be used for dates.

6.

7. Uploading a lot of pictures, esp if they're 1MB+ each, will take a long time. While you're waiting, please fill out the FTP Upload Form to notify me that you've uploaded pictures. Otherwise I won't notice that you've uploaded pictures for a long time :(.
